InvoiceCloud, a leader in digital bill payment services, today announced that CEO Kevin O’Brien will participate in a panel at GAI World 2026 during Boston AI Week, which runs from September 24 through October 2, 2026.
The CEO panel, “Driving Competitive Advantage with the Human + AI Blended Workforce,” will take place September 28 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Leaders will discuss how they are scaling AI within their organizations, building teams that combine human expertise with AI capabilities, and adapting team structures to support business growth.
“AI is changing more than productivity,” said Kevin O’Brien, CEO of InvoiceCloud. “We need to think about how each function will operate over the next few years, prepare our people to work alongside AI agents, and organize our data, processes, and knowledge so they can work effectively together.”
GAI World 2026, presented by GAI Insights in tandem with Boston AI Week, explores how AI drives measurable results through real-world examples, discussions, and training. O’Brien will be joined on the main stage by industry peers from Wex, OneDigital, and Harvard Business School.
O’Brien’s participation comes as InvoiceCloud expands its use of AI in customer support and digital payments and shares lessons from that work with the broader business community. Recent AI milestones include earning the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Excellence Award in Banking and Financial Services and unveiling its AI playbook at Boston Tech Week 2026. Most recently, the company launched InvoiceCloud Service Module, an AI-powered customer support solution for regulated industries designed to help organizations resolve common billing questions in real time while enabling AutoPay payment capabilities within the conversation.
InvoiceCloud also took first place in Vista Equity Partners’ Global Hackathon and third place in its 9th Annual North America Hackathon, with teams applying agentic AI to two operating challenges. The global-winning team developed a customer service system designed to significantly reduce average resolution time, while the North America team built a payment portal that could reduce setup for smaller billers to a single day and expand the addressable opportunity among currently unserved billers.
“We’re focused on applying AI where it solves a real customer or operating problem,” O’Brien added. “Since implementing our AI assistant, we’ve cut our response time by more than 60%, giving our team more time to focus on complex cases and build stronger customer relationships.”
By combining AI-powered support with human expertise, the team maintains strong service levels: response time averages under 1 hour, the average case is resolved in under 2 business days, and CSAT scores exceed 85%.
Just over a year after moving its headquarters to Boston’s Seaport, InvoiceCloud continues to expand its local presence, welcoming over 50 new employees in Boston. The company was also ranked the third-largest fintech company in Massachusetts by the Boston Business Journal and has earned workplace recognition from The Boston Globe and USA Today.
