BowerComm Announces 2026–2027 Keynote Speakers and Workshops for Nonprofits and Community Foundations

New keynotes and hands-on workshops help nonprofits, foundations, chambers and associations build awareness, trust and participation.

We tend to treat communication as the thing that happens after the real work is done. In strong communities, communication is part of the real work.”

HUTCHINSON, KS, UNITED STATES, August 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — BowerComm has announced its 2026–2027 keynote speaking and workshop lineup for nonprofits, community foundations, chambers of commerce, associations and other organizations working to strengthen local communities.

The lineup is built around a simple premise: organizations cannot make progress if the people they serve do not understand their work, trust their message or know how to get involved.

“If people don’t understand what an organization is trying to accomplish, they can’t participate in it, support it or help move it forward,” said Lori Bower, founder of BowerComm. “We tend to treat communication as the thing that happens after the real work is done. In strong communities, communication is part of the real work.”

Full speaker bios, keynote topics, workshop descriptions and speaker reels are available at www.BowerComm.com/Speakers.

One of the featured keynote presentations, Strong Communities Need Strong Communicators, explores how organizational communication affects participation, collaboration, trust and community progress.

Other featured presentations include The Awareness Gap: Why Great Organizations Still Struggle to Be Seen, focused on the communication pitfalls that keep organizations from gaining visibility and support; Activating Your Board as Ambassadors, which helps board members talk about their organizations more confidently and effectively; Why People Want to Work There, focused on communicating culture and purpose to attract employees and volunteers; and Building the Participation Pipeline, which examines how organizations move people from awareness into deeper involvement.

BowerComm also offers hands-on strategic communications workshops for organizations and associations that want participants to apply the material during the session rather than simply listen to a presentation.

The featured workshop, Build Your Awareness Engine, guides participants through BowerComm’s nine-step communication framework while they work on their own audiences, messaging, storytelling, visibility and engagement strategies. Participants leave with the beginnings of a more intentional and repeatable communication system they can continue using after the workshop.

Additional nonprofit workshops include The Difference-Makers Method, a 12-month storytelling system; The Storytelling Content Lab, which helps participants turn one organizational story into content for multiple channels; and Build Your Brand Foundation, focused on audience, messaging and positioning.

BowerComm’s nonprofit keynote speakers and strategic communications workshops are designed for organizations that need practical ways to build awareness, participation and support.

Presentations are delivered by Bower and Bailey Ramsey, who serve as keynote speakers, workshop facilitators and strategic communications consultants for nonprofits, community foundations and other mission-driven organizations.

Ramsey joined BowerComm in 2016 after working in community development and serving as the marketing director for a nonprofit providing disability support services. Her experience gives her firsthand insight into the communication challenges nonprofit and community leaders face with limited time, staff and resources.

Bower has spent more than 25 years in communications and marketing and works with nonprofits, community foundations, chambers, associations and other organizations on communication strategy, messaging and organizational alignment.

“We see organizations doing extraordinary work every day, and then we hear someone in their own community say, ‘I didn’t know they did that,’” Bower said. “Closing that gap isn’t about making more noise. It’s about helping people understand the work, see why it matters and know where they fit.”

The lineup reflects a larger shift BowerComm is seeing as nonprofit and community leaders increasingly treat communication capacity as part of organizational leadership rather than a separate marketing function.

BowerComm is booking keynote speakers, conference sessions, nonprofit communications workshops and private trainings for late 2026 and 2027. Sessions are available for nonprofit conferences, community foundation events, chamber and economic development gatherings, association meetings, leadership programs, board retreats and other events serving organizations working to strengthen their communities.
